ATTENTION ALL HORSE PROJECT MEMBERS

Please plan to attend the Annual Horse Project Meeting on April 7th, 2019 at HSHS Hospital in Oconto Falls.   It will be held in the meeting rooms off to the left past the restrooms as you enter the main entrance of the hospital.

This meeting is essential to your success in the Horse Project. There are several forms and requirements that must be met in order to be eligible to show your animal at the Fair. Certain paperwork MUST be completed and turned in to Danna Magnin by May 1st in order to be eligible to show. Also there has always been required project paperwork that MUST be turned in 1 week in advance of the show. In the past members have failed to turn in this paperwork on time. Failure to return the proper completed paperwork on time will disqualify you from showing at the Fair. If you are new to 4H and/or the Horse Project, please be sure to enroll online for the “Horse” project so you receive all our email communications. Some emails are sent directly from the Project Leader/s and some come from the UW-Extension. Use an email which you check frequently

****NEW THIS YEAR****

The Fair Board has made an amendment to allow donkeys to participate in our County Show. If you have a donkey and are interested in showing, please educate yourself on all requirements. Horses, mules and donkeys will follow all the same guidelines. Please note: Donkeys are NOT allowed at the State Expo show. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

In case of inclement weather, the Annual Horse Project meeting will be moved to April 28th – same time/same place. Watch for announcements if necessary.

If you are unable to attend the meeting and wish to show at the Fair in August, please contact Danna Magnin (djmdmm@bayland.net) to obtain the 2019 Horse Project Handbook. It is your responsibility to be aware of all requirements and deadlines.
