Oconto County 4-H puts on three county-wide project day events annually, beginning with 4-H Project Kickoff at the start of the new 4-H year. At 4-H Fall Kickoff youth visit displays highlighting a variety of 4-H projects, see examples of what they can do in each project, meet their project leaders, and get a project challenge.
Bring your completed challenge to January Thaw Project Day where youth work with their project leaders in 45-minute workshops in areas like videography, baking, archery, rabbits, poultry, and electricity. At January Thaw, youth will receive a new project challenge for Spring Fling.
Youth, third grade and above, who complete both the January Thaw and Spring Fling sessions are eligible for a project pin in up to three project areas. The project pins will be awarded at the annual Achievement Banquet in November.
